Join the riders of the Des Moines Cycle Club on Saturday June 21st at 6 p.m. Park Avenue and George Flagg Pkwy, as we remember Dr. “Bob” Breedlove on the anniversary of his tragic death. Dr. Bob Breedlove was a well-known central-Iowa orthopedic surgeon who died while participating in the Race Across America. We will celebrate his life and impact on not only the biking community but all those he came into contact with. The ride will begin at the Izaac Walton League north of Park Avenue on George Flagg Parkway with reflections and comments by those who knew him best. Bikers of all ages will head toward Cumming on the Great Western Bike Trail one of Bob’s favorite training ride trailsand then gather at Orlando’s on Park Avenue.
